Bleacher Report is reporting that the Minnesota Vikings will honor Teddy Bridgewater’s final wishes by making him a full-time member of the team in 2019.
The news was first reported by The Minneapolis Star Tribune.
The Vikings are expected to announce the move in the coming days.
Bridgewater, 28, had a tumultuous rookie season in which he was benched and then benched again.
The team announced the decision in the wake of Bridgewater’s season-ending injury in Week 17.
He was then cut in December, but the team reinstated him on January 7.
He started the season on the Vikings’ inactive list, but was waived back to the active roster.
The veteran quarterback is expected to play at least some role for the Vikings as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
