Why Bongino and the Oahu Surf Report Is So Important
Posted On August 5, 2021
Hawaii is home to some of the most pristine beaches in the world.
That’s why this report is so important.
A new wave of scientists is calling on the public to help them preserve the islands paradise.
Hawaii surf report.
Hawaii is home for some of our most pristine beach spots, and surfers on the Big Island of Hawaii are calling on us to help protect them from the effects of climate change.
Bongino Report is a series of stories about surfing that highlight the many facets of our shared ocean, and how we can use it to protect the oceans and marine life we love.
As we embark on the biggest conservation challenge of our generation, it’s time to help shape the future of our oceans and the environment.
It’s been said that surfing is one of the few activities that you can’t get away from.
With Bonginos report, we’ll be able to make sure the oceans are not left to drift on a desert island.
On Hawaii’s Big Island, the Big Kahuna, the beaches are pristine, but the reality is that the sea has turned into a wasteland.
Bongino Report is the first piece of work that we can do to keep the beaches and the surfers safe.
We want the ocean to remain a safe place for all people, not just those with the money, the time and the knowledge to take a break.
To help us make this happen, we’re working with some of Hawaii’s most respected researchers, including Bongini, who has done research for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the US Navy and the National Park Service.
Bongoini has spent more than 25 years studying the ocean’s effects on the Great Barrier Reef.
“In my life, I’ve learned that the best way to preserve the marine life on our coasts is to protect it,” he said.
“I can’t imagine living in the middle of the Great Southern Oceans without this knowledge.
It’s why I’m so passionate about it.
It is a critical piece of the ocean.
Without it, the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a protected marine ecosystem, would be completely out of reach.
When I started working on Bongins report, I wanted to understand how the ocean is changing, but I didn’t want to know how to change it.
Now that I’m in Hawaii, I want to change the world with the Bongines report.
