Spectrum report outage causes major outage in New York

A spectrum report outage in the New York City subway system caused widespread network disruption on Thursday, the company that provides the network reported.
A total of 16,600 customers in five subway stations experienced outages between 9:00 p.m. and midnight, the New Jersey Transit system said in a tweet.
The New York subway system reported that it lost power to the New Bedford and Williamsburg stations as of 12:50 a.m., the New Orleans district said in its Twitter feed.
The Brooklyn Bridge station suffered outages for more than six hours and the Queens subway system said that two of its stations had outages that lasted nearly an hour.
