‘I’m not the most athletic person’: Trump jokes about ‘sporty’ NFL players

“If they have the balls to say they have this problem, they have to say what the hell?”
President Donald Trump said on Tuesday.
“They have to be honest with us.
They have to tell us.
I’m not going to be the most physical person, and I don’t have to play sports, but they have got to tell the truth.”
And I’m pretty sure if they had the balls, they’d be very happy with the results.””
If they had to tell me I have this and that and they had that and I had that, I’d be happy to listen,” Trump added.
Trump has said in the past that he believes the NFL is allowing players to participate in pre-determined games during which they may be unable to practice.”
We don’t care. “
And we don’t know.
We don’t care.
I don, I dont care.”
Trump also told The Washington Post he thinks the NFL has created a “political correctness” problem in its game scheduling, pointing to the fact that the league has moved away from the traditional home field of the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles.
Trump also claimed he would have fired NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell if the league had not moved to Philadelphia in recent years, saying that Goodell had “a lot of problems.”
“We don’t want to be in Philadelphia anymore,” Trump told the Post.
“I would have done the same thing.”
Trump has not directly addressed the topic of whether the NFL should allow players to take a knee during the national anthem during games, saying on Monday that he didn’t care what the league did.
“I don’t even care what you do.
We have to respect the Constitution.
I am not a constitutionalist.
I have no problem with it.
We all have to stand up for the American people.
We must do something about what is going on,” Trump responded when asked about NFL players taking a knee to protest racial injustice.”
We should respect the American flag and the American anthem,” Trump continued.
“But we have to do something, because we have a lot of people that want to disrespect our country.”
